I met a friend in church this morning and learned that she would be visiting Hong Kong in July. She asked about what were some best accommodation deals in Hong Kong and where were the better places to stay during the trip.

Well, unlike many countries in Australia and New Zealand, most tourists or travelers do not need to book or rent a car. Public transport is so convenient in Hong Kong that you can get around very easily with the train system and buses. Trams are also a good way to get around in Hong Kong island. So you really don’t need to worry about renting a car with car insurance when you are visiting the Pearl of the Orient.

As for the better places to stay, you can search your hotel online and find the best accommodation deals. Hong Kong island offers lots of hotels and I personally like to hang around Causeway Bay and Wanchai. Party goers can check out Central which I feel is a little too business like for me. Kowloon island is a great place to stay too especially in tsimshatsui and mong kok area. Basically it’s easy to find an affordable hotel if you aren’t traveling during the peak seasons.

So if shopping is your first love, then Hong Kong is one place you must not leave out in 2010.

When I travel, I enjoy staying with luxury accommodations. Actually luxury can be represented in many ways and it doesn’t have to be the most expensive. During our stay in Hong Kong last month, I was well impressed by the small luxury hotel we stayed in. The Lanson Place Hong Kong still left many fond memories in my memory tank and I can’t wait to be back there again.

I know some people go as far as to examine every detail of the hotel room. I read in some travel forum and some reviewers even go on to talk about the Grohe faucets or luxury amenities used by the hotel! Though the Lanson Place is not a five star property, it is a small luxury hotel that is personal, friendly, professional, casual, comfortable and pleasant. So if you are heading to Hong Kong next time, why not give The Lanson Place Hong Kong a try?

As the holidays draw near, parents are planning family vacations for their children. This is also a good time where families gather and spend quality time with each other. As for family vacation choices, no children will resist Disney vacations or vacations with theme parks and such. Shopping will entice most ladies and as for the men in the house, a game of golf or gourmet dining would be their faves.

Believe it or not, I’m still confirming on my hotel accommodation choice for Hong Kong. Since Hong Kong is made up of two islands, I need to decide if our family should reside in Kowloon or Hong Kong Island. It can hard to decide! ON one hand, I’m enticed by the harbour. On the other, I would like a taste of different islands and area. Guess I need to do hotel comparison and search again… and all these got to be done in less than a month’s time!
