Something to Remember Comments Off on Something to Remember

When it comes to buying a gift for my husband, it can be hard to come up with something. Sometimes I would ask him what would he like for a gift and his answer would always be ‘anything’. I mean, what does he mean by that? I wish he can tell me exactly what he really likes. Maybe I should get him the best selection of lapel pins for this Christmas. It’s something he doesnt have and I think he will treasure it for a long time whenever he uses it. It’s nice to buy him something he can use and remember.

I know that some people don’t believe insurance but in our family, we do think it’s a necessity.

Every year, we will make an effort to renew our health insurance and these days, getting a quote is so easy. You can go online to find out more about insurance at and decide what is the best for you or your family. Unlike in the past, you need to call and spend time talking to someone about your needs. That’s what technology has helped to ease things.

Holidays is Coming Comments Off on Holidays is Coming

It’s good to know that this is the last week of school and the holidays is starting in a few days’ time.

Whenever the holidays start, I need to plan activities for the little one at home, to keep him busy and occupied. I told him that we will visit the music store since he’s starting to show an interest in music. A friend just bought a versatile overdrive and she was so happy. My little boy can’t wait to check out different music instruments and try them out if possible. Though it’s only two weeks of holiday, it’s still a good time to unwind.

It’s amazing that we have been sharing a car in the last ten years. I don’t like this arrangement but somehow, it hasn’t bothered me much as time goes by.

It’s sure nice to have my own car so that I don’t have to work around my hubby’s schedule but he just doesn’t see the need to do so. I know of friends who are so passionate of their car that they would buy special Vehicle lettering to complement their cars. But my hubby will never do that… he thinks that it’s a waste of time. For me, I just hope that I can have my own car one of these days so that I don’t need to share with him anymore.

After three months of soccer, the season has ended and this Sunday, there will be an awards day for the kids and all the rest of the players.

My boy isn’t great in sports but we try to get him to go outdoors more. Last year, the team bought a gift for the coaches as a gesture of appreciation and I’m not sure if they are doing it again this year. Some sports clubs such as the baseball teams buy baseball coach gifts as a way to thank the coaches and it is sure a nice thing to do. The coaches have done a great job and I believe they deserve to be rewarded.

Weekends and it’s Friday! Comments Off on Weekends and it’s Friday!

Thank God it’s Friday. Yes, the weekends is here again and i’m really looking forward to it.This is a big week in the house as my boy is into week 7 of the term. This is also a week of assignments, assessements, presentations and much more to do.

With so many going on, I have yet to find time to clean the house. I aim to buy some storage bins so that I can put some stuff away. But there’s just so little space in the house we are living in right now. Perhaps, we should look into one of those storage cabin where we can chuck things into the ‘room’. The problem is you can end up stocking things you don’t even need at all!

Shopping for Father’s Day Comments Off on Shopping for Father’s Day

In Australia, Father’s day is celebrated on the first Sunday of September. Thus, I’m just cracking my head on what I should get for my hubby on that special day.

I was just shopping around in the internet and stumbled upon some carrera tag heuer watches which I thought would be suitable for him. They are pretty cool, classy and sporty, which reflects hubby’s personality. My hubby is that sort who doesn’t like formal looks so the Tag will be a great gift idea for him! Now, I just have to check one that fits my budget and hopefully it’s not going to burn a big in my pocket!

When people travel, they like to bring things home for remembrance.

For me, I like to bring home a pin, a dollar or coin of the place I traveled to. It just helps me remember the place a bit better. It would be nice to bring back the dollar coin when I travel to STates again next time. I was there years ago but it’s been a long time since I last visited the US. I believe not much may have changed but one thing for sure, my shopping dollar will go a longer way!

There hasn’t been much traveling plans this year and I think it’s just one of those moments where I just want to sit back and relax.

I’ve been running quite a bit and as I get into it, I’m discovering running with music. It’s nice to run and walk with music in the ears, no wonder so many people I know have ear phones with them when they are running. I was looking at the MF apogee one and it looks like a cool pocket sized device for people on the go. It’s great for traveling, great for sports…etc. Music is integral in our lives and there is so many benefits to it. Are you tapping it?

Learning to Play the Guitar Comments Off on Learning to Play the Guitar

One of my new year resolutions this year is to learn a musical instrument or to learn a dance. Well, I think I would choose the former anytime unless I am told that I don’t have the aptitude for this skill.

I used to learn guitar from a friend years ago but due to some work commitments, the lessons stop indefinitely and I didn’t get to where I wanna be. This year, I plan to sign up for a class with an instructor and learn some real stuff and hopefully, I can be confident in strumming a tune by end of the year! There’s so much to learn in guitar playing and eventually, I would need to look into buying a guitar, guitar pickups and maybe a few good guitar score books.

It’s good to have a goal and this year, I am determined to make time to fulfill my goals.
