things to do in busy NY

USA April 2nd, 2008

Speak to a business traveler and he will tell you that New York City is perhaps the busiest city in the world. The people here are always running to and fro from work to home to meeting to school functions for their children to dinner you name it and most people in this city are constantly on the move. New Yorkers work hard and they play hard and for the most part you will not find a city full of couch potatoes, which is a good thing! Read the rest of this entry »

travel to palm beach florida

USA, accommodation, family travel March 21st, 2008

When traveling to sunny Palm Beach Florida, you may want to consider the Breakers Hotel as it seems to be a great accommodation spot for travelers. Besides the spa, golf course, and a 1/2 mile sandy beach, there is also a separate pool for the kids, a family entertainment center, and a kid’s program. Families can reserve up to five adjoining rooms while children under the age of 16 can stay for free in the same room as their parents. The fitness freaks can sweat it out on the elliptical machines while the ones who long for some pampering can head for the spa. Also, if you decide to take your beach vacation in Orlando, the Loews Hard Rock Hotel offers you plenty of beach and amusement rides, with a 240 foot slide and a white sandy beach.

california’s napa valley

USA, travel resources October 29th, 2007

napa_valley.jpg

California is usually synonymous with beautiful beaches, beautiful people and the glitter and glitz surrounding the movie world, but there’s another side to this beautiful state, a gentler more natural side.  The Napa Valley is within easy driving distance of San Francisco and offers a tranquil alternative to the bustle of the city.

One of the fun things to do in the Napa Valley is to take a ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train.  As one of the top train rides in the world, you’ll enjoy a relaxing journey in lovingly restored carriages all dated pre-1950.  Whether you enjoy a romantic evening meal in the dining car as you travel through the valley’s beautiful countryside, or you take the daily tour that allows a stop at two of the local vineyards, this is a local “attraction” that shouldn’t be missed.

skydiving anyone?

USA, extreme adventures, travel resources October 2nd, 2007

Few years ago, DH and myself did skydiving during our vacation in Cairns, Australia. I had to tell you that that was the scariest but most thrilling experience of my life!

If you are seriously contemplating on trying your own pluck with skydiving, you would want to have the very best experience for this truly momentous event in your life. After all, not everyone would be able to claim to credit of having the guts to jump off the plane, you would normally want to relive every second of it. However if you are one of the more experienced skydivers, chances are you will be looking for new thrills to give your skydiving experience a fresh twist. The good news is, you need not search far and wide for the best drop zone site for your next skydiving session.
