Hanoi lies at the heart of the northern Red River Delta and somehow reflects an European feel. Especially the streets of the Old Quarter preserve age-old customs, where trade takes one back half a century, and temples, pagodas and monuments reflect the historic character of Vietnam. In this area there are many hotels which have been recently refurbished with a special care to the traditional architecture and design. Hanoi Hotels are surprisingly modest but preserve a unique charming environment.

This means that the city provides many services for tourists as nice boutique hotels, internet cafÈs and restaurants offering wide range of food. Do not forget that tourism has in general a bad influence in the way local people live, too often being responsible for changing their tastes, habits and underlining economic gaps and unequal access to resources. So forth, it is important each one of us makes a difference in the way we wish to live the city. In terms of shopping, Hanoi has much to shopping, from fine silk to artistic products to male enhancement cream.

Most tourists may indulge in mass tourist souvenirs. Sometimes, the best way to take home part of the spirit, is taking a good shot, or buying some spices, or typical things that a local person would buy. From a notebook, to a normal pen, or a traditional t-shirt or a votive candle or a dolly used by Hanoi girls. This will help much more the local community than anything else.

Finding a hotel in Singapore is so easy and convenient these days. What more, you can search for best accommodation deals with no hassle with the help of the internet.

I was checking out some Singapore hotels who are offering cheap accommodation rates after reading that many hotels are offering free night stay during the Great Singapore Sale. Some of the good and affordable hotels to stay in Singapore include Grand Park City Hall, Elizabeth Hotel, Marina Mandarin, Orchard Hotel and Citadines Apartments at Wilkie Road, to name a few. Personally, I like the ideal location of Fairmont Hotel and Swissotel but it can be a little pricey. For good location and better affordability, Carlton Hotel is a good choice. Even though some travelers’ reviews aren’t so favourable, I haven’t had any issues with this hotel after staying there for a few occasions. Plus, the Chinese restaurant serves good tim sum.

In Singapore, it is easy to travel around with the efficient public transport and with the additional walking, you can put your Atrophex to work! So if you are thinking of a shop til you drop kind of vacation, head down to Singapore this summer and grab the best accommodation deals online. Compare hotels at SearchYourHotel.com

I was pleasantly surprised to read that hotels in Singapore are offering special deals during the Great Singapore Sale. From what I read, you can get best accommodation deals such as getting a free night stay in selected hotels. This is not only good news for travelers but for the locals who have no plans to travel overseas.

After a few days’ break in Singapore, I feel so refreshed. I had a good time shopping even though I wished I had more time! Whenever I’m in Singapore, time seems to fly pass so fast. Many retailers are offering good discounts and if you are feeling the credit crunch during this economic crisis, this is a good time to save on your purchases. Though some retail shops are only offering low discounts, you can expand your options and shop in places with real bargains. Grabbing off season clothing will help to save some bucks too.

Whether it’s buying Mp3 players or a spa package, taking a trip to Singapore during the Great Singapore Sale is a good time. What more, you can get the best accommodation deals in some 5 star hotels!

I met a friend who went crazy shopping for sports gifts and sports goods at the Gotemba factory outlet. I didn’t make it all the way there but would believe that it did paled from the US outlet stores by comparison. If you plan to travel to Gotemba for discount shopping, I was told that there is a bus from Shinjuku train station that takes you there.

Singapore has always been one of my favourite destination for food and shopping. Though I am born and bred here, I’m not saying this out of biasness. After shopping in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan and Shanghai, Singapore still remains my favourite shopping stop since all the retail stores and concept shops are located close to each other.

Branded concept stores have sprung up everywhere in Orchard road and the town area. Whether you are shopping for a Prada handbag, La Mer skin care, the latest iPhone 3G or weight loss pill for your waistline, Singapore is a great place where you can shop and compare. Being a multi racial society, it is easy to converse with the locals and receive any shopping help or tips if you need any guidance. What’s cool about shopping in Singapore is that the retail stores have long opening hours from 10am – 10pm (most shops) and it’s safe to be shopping late too!

No lady of leisure who took a vacation in Hong Kong would leave the city without buying at least a pair of shoes. I spoke to so many lady friends of mine and everyone of them would end up with at least 2 or 3 pairs of shoes when they returned, leaving their hubbies puzzled and shaking heads – lol. I recalled coming home with 3 pairs when I was in Hong Kong years ago! Hong Kong is ultimately still a great place to shop and dine. And for those Camper fans out there, Camper shoes are the cheapest in Asia… check it out and you will soon know.

In the recent years, many boutique owners have started to import and buy lots of clothing from Hong Kong and resell them in profitable prices in their home countries such as Singapore and Malaysia, leading to many entrepreneurs overnight. According to some boutique owner friends of mine, the profit margin is too attractive. Some would make trips every week just to order and buy stock for their boutique.

Over the years, the rental property investment opportunities in Hong Kong has escalated in positive outlook too. Well, I’m still hoping to visit Hong Kong this year. I always feel at home in this busy and much congested city and it’s hard to explain why It’s not called the Pearl of the Orient for nothing…

The nice thing about traveling is that I get to shop for unique gemstone jewelry whenever I find the opportunity. When we were in Oahu, we took a drive to the North Shore and I found this beautiful Mother of Pearl pendant crafted by a local artist. Without any hesitation, I bought the lovely piece to remind myself of this beautiful island.

Our cruise to Maui, The Big Island and Kauai took us to quaint villages where I found local jewelry stores that specialized in sea pearls and original craft. Since I wasn’t a big fan of pearls, I had to give Maui Divers a miss but I had to admit that some of the Tahitian Pearl and coral jewelry found in Hawaii were the loveliest especially the Chocolate pearls.

If you ask me, I think Hawaii is a great place not just to visit, relax, dine and play but it’s a nice place to do some nice handmade products. So if you ever travel to this sunshine state, don’t forget to allocate some space for a real shopping spree!

I spend alot of time searching for information on the web and I find that I’m learning new things everyday. It can be a new travel resource site, an accommodation booking site, a shopping and price comparison site or simply a new forum or user reviews’ site. While I appreciate the vast of information available in the worldwide web, it is good to know that these resources can help to educate us in many ways. I learn to be a smarter and more savvy shopper especially after reading what others have to say about an accommodation or a product.

For instance, you can be searching for a hair loss product such as provillus and wonder if it truly works for people who have tried it. Or you may want to find out if the hotel you are planning to book is worth the price you are about to pay. By reading reviews of real users, it helps to avoid making costly mistakes and makes you a more informed buyer.

In addition to the duty free shops, interesting and varied shopping can be found in the island, from remarkable local art to European fashion to collections of antique and treasure coin jewelry, shopping will be fascinating, exciting, and fun. A traveler who just did my lip augmentation in Chicago had so many raving reports about the shopping scene in the island!

Dining in the island’s countless restaurants is a must. A traveler should not miss exploring the island’s local cuisine and experience something different for the palate. From the elegant fine dining restaurants to the budget fast food, every visitor will find food to suit their “taste”.
