I often think that you can get cheap accommodation rates if you book directly from the hotel but it’s not necessarily so. While most hotels do offer better rates to customers who book direct, others charge more which is ridiculous.
With today’s web technology. you can fool your customers anymore. Today’s travelers are savvy, price conscious and they are an educated bunch who want the best at the best rates too. They search the web for hotel rates, airlines tickets. insurance quotes. car rentals and destination guides. They know what they want and they are capable of getting the price they want too. So merchants should market with that in mind to avoid wasting their advertising dollar.
The web is the cheapest way to market for most businesses including hoteliers. If hoteliers leverage on the power of the web, the business can grow rapidly within a short time.

When you are on an adventure in your travels, it’s a time of exploration and new insights. We just came back from some short trips in Asia and we had walked so much in the last few weeks.
Some hotels not only provide best accommodation deals but they actually have gyms that allow you to exercise when you are traveling. This is a good way to burn belly fat during your travels and you can avoid putting on excess weight. If you are on an eating spree, you would find that it’s normal to put on a few kilos during your holidays.
So if you want to stay in shape during your holidays, eat in moderation and make sure you find time to exercise or be on the move, at least.

It takes me a few years before getting my first insurance policy. I mean, I used to think that insurance is a waste of money but not anymore! I believe it’s all about education and having a good agent to explain the benefits and details of why we need to be protected with a good coverage.
With the rise of technology, it isn’t hard to find out “What is life insurance?“. If you can’t get someone to explain to you, just search in the web and the answers will all be there. Better still, you can buy your life or travel insurance online these days. Travel insurance is something I won’t stinge on when I’m traveling overseas.
So it’s all up to an individual when it comes to belief and acceptance. Have an open mind and you will soon find out it’s good to hold up a policy.

When I was packing for my trip, I brought along a few important things that I can’t do without. I believe all of us have a list of to-bring things whenever we travel. And you normally like to pack them properly before your trip and forgetting them can bring frustration!
This Hong Kong trip, I brought along all my immune protectors including my anithistamines, propolis, manuka honey and my women’s multivitamin – it’s so important them I have them everyday! I managed to get some best accommodation deals for a serviced apartment and I loved it for its strategic location. It was near all the good eating and shopping places. It was only a 50m walk from the Jordan MTR station.
My friends are now discussing on our girlie holiday and it looks like I might be in Hong Kong again the next half of the year. It’s time to start searching for cheap accommodation rates again!

Most of us travel for either leisure and business but over the years, medical tourism has also become very popular among some countries. This is largely due to the cost of medical treatment in some places as well as the technology involved.
I heard about people traveling to Korea and Indonesian for beauty transformation which involves anti aging and plastic surgery. But I have also heard about people making their way to detox centers to receive treatment for an addiction problem. Centers like rapid opiate detox provides treatment for people who struggle to gain control over their addictions and this sort of treatment provides a comprehensive treatment process.
With good reasons to gain better psychological and physical health, traveling for the above reasons have attracted much attention.

There are so many ways to find cheap accommodation rates and useful travel information online these days. I recalled having to go to a high commission or tourist centre to dig for brochures and information in the past. Calling on travel agencies was always troublesome and you could never get fast replies.
Online technology for the travel industry has simplified things and it’s great for travelers. Travel agents can now focus on getting the best deals for customers faster than before. With stricter rules in some urban cities, many hotels and restaurants do not allow cigarette smoking in the public. Some have switched to electronic cigarettes and I’m not sure how that will differ from traditional ones. I personally detest the smell of smoke in the hotel rooms and you can get that in cheap hotel rooms. So I would prefer more established brand names when I’m checking in to a hotel when I’m on holiday.
In any case, it’s always possible to check with the hotel about guidelines in the rooms before you make a reservation. An email will do the job and you should get a reply if the hotel is a reputable one.

As part of our move, we went furniture shopping last weekend. Since we’ve been told that it’s cheaper to buy all the furniture here, we have decided to buy the basics and put them all in the container. With this migration, we see ourselves traveling within Australia in the next two years and I’m looking forward to visit all the beaches in Queensland!
Moving to a new home is both fun and exciting. I can anticipate the stress too as there’ll be changes, adjustments and lifestyle alterations. I’m naturally an adaptable person but not my other half. I foresee him struggling in his preferences in the area of food choices. He’s a typical man who likes Asian food more than the simple Western fare. Along the way, we also shopped for some custom slipcovers and checked out some big ticket electronic items for the new home. At this point, I am not thinking about the packing bit but it will be in a few months’ time.
Well, as the move is set, it is good to think positive and look ahead and not worry about the challenges here and there. This time, weekend breakaways should be more accessible and affordable!

When is the last time you take a vacation with your family? The reality is, not many people have the luxury to travel with the family. Some folks don’t like to travel and it’s hard to get them to hop on the plane!
Many older generation feels that traveling is a waste of money. My mom is one of them. It’s hard to get her to travel or to leave her comfort zone. But for the modern individuals, travel is good for the mind, body and soul. Everyone deserves a break and rest to break free from the stresses in their lives. The older folks spend their money on home insurance, their kids and medical so they have a different perspective and focus. For the younger generation, they feel itchy when they have to stay put in one place!
Well, it’s normal that everyone of us thinks differently and we just have to pursue our likes and wants. But with today’s affordable travel, many people can see the world now.

It is always nice to shop in Singapore. This is another week off for me in my hometown and I enjoyed window shopping in Orchard road despite running after my very active preschooler.
Singapore is just a wonderful place to discover new and innovative stuff, you can find almost anything under the sun. Another reason why I like to shop in Singapore is that the prices are affordable and you are presented with lots of choices and variety. I had some time to read some diet pill review at the pharmacies.. the pharmacies in Singapore has been a great place to find everything I need.
I can’t wait to be back here in a month’s time. This time, I am going to leave my boy at Peekaboo, a shop and drop place in Kallang so that I can have some ‘me’ time and do the things I enjoy doing alone!
