Not only is online accommodation reservations so convenient and easy these days, you can even buy a travel insurance before you leave for your vacation. Shopping for a luggage also means you don’t need to handle the bulky luggage in the mall and what more, you can book your airline ticket online too. Many people have familiarize themselves with online banking, auto insurance online and online bills payment. When we were traveling to NZ and Australia, we booked our activities online weeks before our arrival. what do you travel for?

miscellaneous April 16th, 2008

Different people travel for various purposes. For many, it would be just a vacation to relax and recharge after a time of busyness and stress. Some ladies I know travel in luxury for shopping and indulgence, spending their retirement years in the best ways they can afford. I was told by my aunty that her girlfriend would travel to shop for the best in everything including finding the best wrinkle cream to combat her laughing lines and crow’s feet. If I tell hubby this, he would probably frown in disbelief but well, that’s what people truly do. You don’t even need to be Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears to do that anymore. Luxury and pleasure travel is everywhere now. What do you travel for?

importance of pure water

miscellaneous April 8th, 2008

Even though I love traveling and don’t mind roughing it out, I’m super particular about drinking the ‘right’ water no matter where I’m off to. I recalled having a bad throat and losing my voice suddenly when I took a holiday to Melbourne few years ago. I could only suspect that the hard water I was drinking had caused me to fall sick with no realm or reason. Since, I make it a point to drink pure bottled water and not water from the tap, even if it’s been boiled. Read the rest of this entry »

taking mom on a vacation

miscellaneous April 1st, 2008

This year, I hope to bring my mom for a short holiday since we have never been on any leisure trips together. She is a hardworking woman who works five days a week and saves her weekends for her household chores. I really like to reward her for her years of dedication towards us and what better way to do this than to take on her a well deserved vacation. Read the rest of this entry »

vacation chat

miscellaneous March 28th, 2008

When it comes to a yearly break, I enjoy hanging around at the beach or traveling to exotic destinations that provide certain level of comfort and accessibility. It has to be child friendly so that means I can forget about Cambodia and some of the untrod places. Being a city life at heart, a visit to other big cities in the world still bring lots of excitement and I must admit that the shopping scene is one area that energize me. to go nude or not?

miscellaneous March 21st, 2008

I was discussing with a travel buddy the other day when we went shopping for Kravet fabrics and the topic was: To go nude or not to go nude? That is the question that many vacationers end up asking themselves. If you are interested in spending your summer vacation at an overseas beach, it is likely that you will have to decide. Many overseas beaches are classified as being nude beaches.

Nude beaches are ideal for adults who are vacationing with a mature crowd. Whether you are vacationing overseas with your friends or you are vacationing with your partner or spouse, many adults find nude beaches appealing. In a way, many couples find nude beaches to be exotic; thus, creating a romantic atmosphere.

relocation can be daunting

miscellaneous February 19th, 2008

Many people travel for various reasons. Some do it for work, some travel for pure leisure and some, a combination of both. I am always envious of those who can travel for work while adding some leisure and fun to it. Read the rest of this entry »

traveling with credit cards

miscellaneous January 10th, 2008

It seems like we may have overspent in our last vacation to the US. Though I did not resort to using any cash advance facilities, I had to request for an increase in my credit limit. It’s amazing how your travel expenses can keep adding up without you noticing it, until you are told that your credit card is not honoured.

Personally, I have found traveling with credit cards very convenient opposed to keeping too much cash or travelers’ cheques. Having said, do make sure that the country you are traveling to accept global credit cards so that you won’t be stuck with any financial hiccups during your trip.

a home theater to relax

miscellaneous January 10th, 2008

We all love to go to the movie theater to relax after a long day of work. Even if you need to tide traffics jams to go to the movie theater, you are willing to endure this to be able to watch a movie. The sight and sound of a movie theater is what makes us go back there every so often. Read the rest of this entry »
