a night in putrajaya shangri-la-hotel

hotel reviews, malaysia June 11th, 2008

I love staying in hotels especially boutique and luxury ones with superb views and top class environment settings. Recently, I have the chance to stay in Putrajaya Shangri-la hotel in Malaysia and this is one of the luxury boutique ones in the innovative garden city area.

Situated at the top of the hill, its hotel is set on a nice surroundings with beautiful garden decor, lots of greenery, a cosy fountain at the entrance and it is like a park inside a hotel. The decor, service and little touches evoke peace, relaxation, comforts and luxury for this 5 star property. While I couldn’t afford the suites, there are three room options to choose from - hillview, parkview and fountain court view. I chose the fountain court room that opened up to the elegant hotel courtyard complete with pond and fountain. It was nice. The deluxe Park View rooms offer wonderful views of the nearby Putrajaya lake and botanic gardens while the deluxe Hill View rooms looks out across the hotel’s lush landscaped terraces.
