On a Sea Vacation 0

Posted on October 21, 2010 by dorisch

Travelling by sea is a great way to relax while on vacation. Depending on the length of your cruise, you may be able to relax for an entire week or more. Many people take two or three week cruises when they want to relax. The longer the cruise, the more ports the ship will stop in. This will give you an opportunity to shop, try new foods, and take some great pictures. Being able to tell people what a great time you had through pictures is one way to not miss any details when describing your trip.

Before you choose a cruise, you should find out if there will be added expenses for travel, accommodations, and travel insurance. My uncle is one person who loves cruising cos he doesn’t have to do any planning on his own. He’s had herpes simplex for a while so cruising is good for him. If you are traveling with a group, you should nominate one person to handle the arrangements in order to avoid confusion. Once the arrangements have been made, you should pay close attention to the weather to see what you will need to pack. Since you will be on the water for a few days, you should pack a few long sleeve shirts and a light jacket. You may also need to pack formal wear if it is required during dinner time.

Cruises and Holidays 0

Last weekend, I was discussing my mom on our family vacation in the next half of the year. She was suggesting to go on a cruise and I’m keeping my options open.

It can be hard deciding on where to cruise and what to do as a family. Many cruise companies are offering cheap accommodation rates when you cruise to nowhere but I’m not too keen about that. It is a tough decision to decide is where to go on a family vacation cruise. Some places are just not suitable for families. They might have too much of a party type atmosphere catering to couples or single young adults. I once came across a special cruise for those who want to lose weight. The cruise was offering quick weight loss program in the package and those who want to lose some pounds can enjoy a holiday at the same time!

Some places are just too boring for the family to enjoy. Compare cruise offerings to find a destination that caters to families with attractions such as zoos, children’s museums, amusement parks, water parks, tours of historic sites, or family fun centers. Teens might enjoy more adventurous activities such as snorkeling, parasailing, and hiking. When you exit the boat, you can pick and choose among several attractions to make the whole family happy.

A Memorable Cruising Holiday 0

I find myself missing my cruising holiday in Hawaii three years ago. Looking back, it was a long time ago. We had so much fun cruising the Hawaiian islands and it was one of those unforgettable experience!

Cruising can be very relaxing for those who don’t like to worry about food and activities as there are lots to eat and do in the cruise. We would eat in various restaurants every night and it was interesting to experience different activities everyday. Since we had a little child, we couldn’t do some things but we were thankful for the kids club in the ship. They did a great job in looking after our boy for us during dinners!

The cruise ship was professionally run with state of the art equipment. Receipts were printed with tm-t88iv and the service was better than some of the reviews read online. So if you ever plan to head to Hawaii, don’t forget to splurge on a nice Hawaiian cruise in the local waters. I promise that this will be one memorable holiday of a lifetime.

things to take note when going on a cruise holiday 0

Traveling to exotic locations on a luxury ship, catching sunrays, and breathing the salty breezes can renew and replenish anyone, no matter how shopworn from the cares of work. However, a cruise holiday requires planning in order to be the best it can be.

When scheduling your cruise holiday, you should be aware that there are off season and on season dates, and that you want to schedule your trip in the off season to get the best deal. What you may not know, however, is that cruise lines actually change prices a number of times throughout the year.

To travel lighter, find out about equipment that will be available on the ship. For instance, if the cruise line provides irons or hair dryers, you won’t need to pack yours. Also pack your own sample size shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries because these items will cost more in the gift shop. You may have access to laundry facilities on your cruise holiday, so you don’t have to take a huge amount of clothing. But make sure you find out first from the cruise liner so that you won’t end up with insufficient change of clothes. For those who bring your laptop, always check that you have enough ram installed on your computer.

There is plenty that you all need to know when it comes to going on cruises and how you are expected to act while you are at sea. Too many people go on cruises and decide that they can just absolutely make a fool out of themselves, so what you all should know before going on your next cruise or if you have never had the opportunity to go on a cruise is that it is very important that you act civilized and appropriate throughout the entire cruise. the wonderful ports of call 0

I’ve been telling all my friends about the great cruising experience we had with the Norwegian Cruise Line since we returned. Opposed to lots of critics and negative remarks, we thought the Pride of America was a wonderful cruise liner to sail with. We enjoyed the itinerary and various ports of call, the food, service and facilities. One of my favourite things was to wake up in the morning and sit at the balcony whiling enjoying some ocean breeze.

Of all the ports of call, I enjoyed Kona and Maui though Kauai was nice too. Hilo was abit gloomy that day and we didn’t catch any rainbows at the falls. Kona is a nice village to walk around and spend a lazy afternoon with lots of surf shops ready to entice the ardent shoppers.

Here are some of the photos taken in the cruise ship and various ports of call… you can see that our little three year old was having a real good time!

Well, we had just returned from a seven day cruise in Hawaii and this was one of the best vacation experience we had. The truth was, months before deciding on this cruise option, I had so many cruise critics and negative reviews about the Pride of America but as an adventurous traveler, I had ignored the naysayers and went ahead with this cruise. And I couldn’t tell you how much we enjoyed this cruise experience. Read the rest of this entry →
