Australia and Emu Oil 0

Posted on October 26, 2010 by dorisch

Whenever I travel to Australia or New Zealand, I’ll look out for some natural beauty products and one of which is the emu oil.

The emu oil is the greatest emollient in the world. It penetrates the skin better than mink or any other natural oil, and lacks long chain fatty acids which is conducive to a long shelf-life.

Emu Oil is considered a complete source of essential fatty acids. Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s) are fats that humans cannot manufacture or synthesize. We must obtain them from our diet. Like vitamins and minerals they are essential to the body’s functions. Incredibly, this amazing oil contains omega 3,6,9 essential fatty acids and is a powerful skin moisturizer and possesses strong anti-inflammatory properties. Some women claim that it is a powerful anti aging product that is natural.

So the next time you travel to down under, make sure you stock up a bottle of emu oil!

Traveling to a Tropical Destination 0

Posted on October 26, 2010 by dorisch

Traveling to a tropical climate is great when you aren’t keen on loading your luggage with bulky winter clothing. But there are a few must-haves when you are visiting a tropical destination.

Firstly, armed yourself with good sunblock or tanning lotions, depending on what you are after. These days, ladies are worried about sun spots and freckles so a good sunblock is necessary. Bring alot your pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the strong sun rays! That is needless to say! Bring a hat and one with a big frame to keep the sun away from your face. It may seem troublesome but it’s important. These days, you can find clothing with SPF but I’m too sure if they will work in the long run.

Last but not least, bring your bathing suit and goggles if you are off to the beach or pool. A good book to and your iPod will be great accompaniments if you are after a good break under those coconut trees!

Preparing for the Move 0

Posted on October 26, 2010 by dorisch

We are in the midst of packing up for our big move due in December and the house is now in a mess. I’m excited to move to a new country and it’s going to be a good change.

As we prepare for the move, I’ve already booked ourselves to a serviced apartment for the first two weeks. After my research, it seems that kangaroo Point is a better place to stay than the city. With just a ferry ride to the city, it can’t be more convenient than this. I like the fact that it’s near the riverbank and we can take family strolls together. Brisbane has a nice river leading to Southbank and it would be nice for our little boy.

At this point, it’s hard to think about work and business but we’ll have to take a good look at it once we settle down. If you want to know more about wealth program, click here. Starting anew in a new place is daunting but we are positive towards the change. So I’m looking to staying in kangaroo point in December. Let’s hope that it won’t be too hard finding a place to rent at the southside when the time comes.

At The Magellan Sutera Harbour 0

A good vacation comes in many definitions and for me, it’s about good company and sleeping well during my holiday. Though it wasn’t the best accommodation rates at The Magellan Sutera, I had a relaxing time with my friends and loved ones.

We didn’t do much cos it was a short trip. But my little boy was happy to be at the pool every time he gets the chance. i believe there’s alot more to do at the resort but we just didn’t have enough time to explore. I understand some hotels use used gym equipment but not Sutera Harbour hotels. The Magellan is great for families with kids cos there are two kids club in the vicinity. My son was all keen to go to the kids club but he couldn’t find any company.

I’m not sure when will I visit Sabah again but I know it won’t be soon. With thanks to technology i can still keep in touch with my friends and that is a wonderful thing.

On a Sea Vacation 0

Travelling by sea is a great way to relax while on vacation. Depending on the length of your cruise, you may be able to relax for an entire week or more. Many people take two or three week cruises when they want to relax. The longer the cruise, the more ports the ship will stop in. This will give you an opportunity to shop, try new foods, and take some great pictures. Being able to tell people what a great time you had through pictures is one way to not miss any details when describing your trip.

Before you choose a cruise, you should find out if there will be added expenses for travel, accommodations, and travel insurance. My uncle is one person who loves cruising cos he doesn’t have to do any planning on his own. He’s had herpes simplex for a while so cruising is good for him. If you are traveling with a group, you should nominate one person to handle the arrangements in order to avoid confusion. Once the arrangements have been made, you should pay close attention to the weather to see what you will need to pack. Since you will be on the water for a few days, you should pack a few long sleeve shirts and a light jacket. You may also need to pack formal wear if it is required during dinner time.

Off to Sabah 0

I’ve been pretty blessed to stay in some nice hotels for my travels this year. Some of these hotels are booked with the best accommodation deals on the web and I’m glad to experience the various class of service.

I’ll be traveling to Sabah this Friday and after hearing what my friend told me about Sutera Harbour, I can’t wait to stay there for two nights. Apart from all the good food and drinks, I’ll be spending some quality time with my close friend and I mustn’t forget to bring the most effective weight loss pill cos I’ll be indulging! It’s nice to catch up with friends during a vacation and I miss those girlie days where we’ll spend hours chatting over a cup of coffee!

Though it’s a short trip to Sabah, two nights at the Magellan should be nice to revive my tired soul and mind. I love breaks!

Today’s Savvy Travelers 0

I often think that you can get cheap accommodation rates if you book directly from the hotel but it’s not necessarily so. While most hotels do offer better rates to customers who book direct, others charge more which is ridiculous.

With today’s web technology. you can fool your customers anymore. Today’s travelers are savvy, price conscious and they are an educated bunch who want the best at the best rates too. They search the web for hotel rates, airlines tickets. insurance quotes. car rentals and destination guides. They know what they want and they are capable of getting the price they want too. So merchants should market with that in mind to avoid wasting their advertising dollar.

The web is the cheapest way to market for most businesses including hoteliers. If hoteliers leverage on the power of the web, the business can grow rapidly within a short time.

Traveling in Motorhomes 0

Posted on October 06, 2010 by dorisch

Seeing the world in four wheels is a wonderful experience if you are the adventurous sort of person. I recalled our travel in New Zealand where we saw many travelers in motorhomes. We told ourselves that that would be something we want to do someday.

Be sure that you are that sort who likes driving if you plan to go on a road trip style of vacation. Renting from a good company who stocks motor homes that are well maintained may cost you more but it’s sure worth it. You won’t want the motorhome to break down somewhere in the middle of the trip, do you? Also, make sure that you are covered with a motorhome insurance just in case something happens during the vacation.

Inform close friends and family of your plans to go on this road trip so that they can be informed of your well being while you are away from home. In any case, note down some emergency numbers to take with you for safety reasons.

Get Help From Travelers’ Reviews 0

A friend of mine taught me about keeping the face well moisturized when on a busy vacation. She is an expert when it comes to securing the best accommodation deals.

She told me that she would bring all her facial masks during her vacation and apply them every night when she’s back in the hotel. I followed her suggestion and was glad that my skin was looking good despite the many late nights I had. I brought my rejuvenating mask, my wrinkle cream as well as my eye mask and use them whenever I’m in the jacuzzi tub, It was like having a facial in your own room! I could do that in both The Mira and Hanoi Diamond… it was simply relaxing for my face!

Cheap Accommodation Rates with Gym 0

Posted on October 04, 2010 by dorisch

It is always nice to stay in an accommodation that has a well equipped gym when you are on a vacation, isn’t it? I have to admit that I usually don’t find the time to step in early in the morning and get on the threadmill but it is good to know you can if you want! Imagine booking a good hotel at cheap accommodation rates and having the luxury to enjoy the full facilities of a good gym, this will make a difference to your vacation!

For those who are watching their weight during a vacation, they will put in the efforts to go to the gym at the start of the day or end of day. Sometimes they may need fat burners that work if they are very overweight but otherwise they can just choose the right foods to eat. Most of the time, you can only expect a full gym from five star hotels or else most gyms can be small and dingy. The problem is, I tend to forget my sports shoes during a trip so I am not allowed to step into the gym!!

I’m heading to kota kinabalu in two weeks’ time and we will be staying at The Magellan at Sutera Harbour. Hopefully I can burn some calories in the morning before I start out the day and get my body in shape again.
