Compare Hotels For Convenience 0

Posted on December 28, 2009 by dorisch

IN a couple of weeks’ time, school will reopen and I’m glad my kid is heading back to school! We have had a couple of nice vacations this year and it was an added blessing that we managed to get some good deals for bargain accommodations too.

This afternoon, I have to help a friend to sell textbooks while giving some travel tips for Australia. She is heading there for a break and needs some advice on bargain accommodations for a few regions. It takes me a while to convince her on the convenience of booking hotel accommodation and to compare hotels online. She is from the old school where everything needs to be done by a travel agent.

There is no doubt that many will continue to choose travel agencies to help them with itineraries but like it or not, technology will change the mindset of individuals and revolutionize how we travel. Now, we can compare hotels and find the best rates on our own instead of depending on a third person to gather all the details for us.

Best Accommodation Deals in Taiwan 0

After another five days of traveling, I’m back home again. Once again, it’s a fabulous trip to Taiwan especially when our tour guide has managed to grab some best accommodation deals for our group.

Before the vacation, I told myself to travel light and pack as little as I can. Due to the current winter season, the wintry clothing took up more space in the luggage and I had no choice but to travel with a full luggage. Needless to say, I made sure that all my nutritional supplements were packed in smaller sealed plastics and brought all the personal essentials. I wasn’t planning to shop much in Taiwan so I didn’t bother bringing additional carry-all bag to store my purchases.

To my surprise, Taiwan is a great place for shopping and eating! I was surprised and impressed with the night markets and the apparel found in the market were of better quality than those in China. I bought a pair of Birkenstocks sandals and it was at least 30% cheaper than what I would get in Malaysia. I only wished I had more time in Taipei city! With the efficient transportation system, traveling around in Taipei is easy and convenient.

It’s Christmas eve today. I’m glad to be home celebrating Christmas with my family and here’s wishing everyone on vacation a blessed Christmas.

I’ve got an assignment for my vacation next couple of days. I will be shopping for some Christmas gifts for my friends. This is the season of giving and sharing and whether you are shopping for unique gifts for her or dad and mom, going online presents lots of options! For those who love shopping, few of my favourite cities happen to be Hong Kong, Japan, Paris and Singapore! You can literally shop till you drop in these cities.

If shopping is not your fancy, simply book yourself to a tropical island getaway, enjoy the beaches, sip wine by the sea and relax by the sunset. Wherever you are, you can always find the best accommodation deals at your fingertips.

Vacation at the Gold Coast 0

When you travel with a child, you won’t need any exercise at all! I just returned from a 2 weeks break with my small child and it’s been a tiring vacation. No thanks to me falling ill, it was demanding on my physical body. Now that I’m back, I have a few days to recuperate before taking off for another trip to Taiwan.

Out of all the places we visited during the vacation, Gold Coast is still my favourite. I like walking along the beaches and watching the waves roar… it was very relaxing for me. For those who want some natural fat burners, it’s nice to jog along the beautiful beaches – so calm and nice. My little boy was so happy playing with the sand and splashing in the waters.

Staying in a self contained apartment is the way to go if you want to stay and save at the Gold Coast. Since eating out can be expensive, you can buy your own groceries and cook them anyway you like in your serviced or self contained apartment.

I can’t wait to be back to the Gold Coast again – it is very fabulous hanging around with nothing in the mind. That’s what I call a vacation 🙂

Shopping While Traveling 0

One of the things that travelers enjoy doing during a vacation is to shop locally. Of course the women often score better than men in the area of shopping but men can be great shoppers too.

When I travel, I would first compare prices online to find out if the products are cheaper in that respective country. Some things tend to be cheaper in certain countries so you do need to conduct your research properly.

People who like electronics will shop around and compare prices, from circuit city to other online stores. After all, technology makes it easy for us to compare prices so that we can get the best value out of our money.

But do take note and ask about warranties if you are purchasing electronic goods outside your home country. Not all products come with international warranties which can become a problem if anything goes wrong.

It’s a great experience surfing and relaxing with a view of the broadbeach waters. I have been looking forward to this trip and I’m glad to be here. It’s so easy to find cheap accommodation rates in Gold Coast when you aren’t traveling during the peak season.

I noticed many new luxury apartments being built in the last few years. The apartments are mostly fully-equipped with pools, spacious living areas, fitness center with dip machine and even games room for the kids.

I’m happy to stay 300m from Pacific Fair Shopping Center. It would even be easier if I’m not traveling with a small child. I do nee to consider how kids can get tired from some extra walking.

Though there’s still cooking and laundry to be done during a vacation, I enjoy doing things at my own pace and not having to rush around like what I used to do.

So if you are planning to travel to Gold Coast and would like to check out cheap accommodation rates, do it online at
