Posted on April 08, 2008 by dorisch

Even though I love traveling and don’t mind roughing it out, I’m super particular about drinking the ‘right’ water no matter where I’m off to. I recalled having a bad throat and losing my voice suddenly when I took a holiday to Melbourne few years ago. I could only suspect that the hard water I was drinking had caused me to fall sick with no realm or reason. Since, I make it a point to drink pure bottled water and not water from the tap, even if it’s been boiled. Read the rest of this entry →

can’t wait for down under 0

Whenever I’m back in down under, I’ll spend hours in pharmacies and health stores, checking out their organic products, skincare and natural foods. Australia has lots to offer when it comes to organic skincare and treatment including those for acne treatment or problematic skin. I would usually stock up my luggage with a few months’ supply since they are cheaper than the stores in Asia. I’m now hoping to take a vacation to Gold Coast or Sydney this year. It always feels like home to be back in Australia and I can’t wait to be back again.

save money on vegas accommodations 0

If you have visited Vegas of late, you would have noticed the fierce competition among hotels and this is definitely good news to some extent for you as a traveler. The tightness of the competition keeps the prices relatively affordable and allows you to pick and choose which hotel you want according to the services, loaction and amenities rather than the prices of the rooms. It is wise to compare prices and competing hotels before booking your Las Vegas Hotels for your next vacation. Seasoned travelers will find that saving money on accommodation is a great idea in Vegas cos the more money you save on hotel accommodations, the more money you’ll have to spend on dining, shopping and the entertainment of your choice.

things to do in busy NY 0

Speak to a business traveler and he will tell you that New York City is perhaps the busiest city in the world. The people here are always running to and fro from work to home to meeting to school functions for their children to dinner you name it and most people in this city are constantly on the move. New Yorkers work hard and they play hard and for the most part you will not find a city full of couch potatoes, which is a good thing! Read the rest of this entry →

snowboarding holiday 0

OK so have you ever been on a snowboarding holiday? If so, then you must have enjoyed yourself or are you regretting after a few bad falls on your tushy. The thing about Snow Boarding is that not everybody can enjoy it. When my hubby first went on a snow boarding holiday it was with his cousin and they had never snowboarded in their lives. That was something they had never done before, and they were obviously nervous about whether or not they would really enjoy myself when they had absolutely no experience on a board. They suffered some bumps and sores from the falling but claimed that it was one of the best extreme sport adventures they had experienced. It would be some time before they can consider a snowboarding holiday to be a relaxing one!

taking mom on a vacation 0

This year, I hope to bring my mom for a short holiday since we have never been on any leisure trips together. She is a hardworking woman who works five days a week and saves her weekends for her household chores. I really like to reward her for her years of dedication towards us and what better way to do this than to take on her a well deserved vacation. Read the rest of this entry →
