skydiving anyone?
Few years ago, DH and myself did skydiving during our vacation in Cairns, Australia. I had to tell you that that was the scariest but most thrilling experience of my life!
If you are seriously contemplating on trying your own pluck with skydiving, you would want to have the very best experience for this truly momentous event in your life. After all, not everyone would be able to claim to credit of having the guts to jump off the plane, you would normally want to relive every second of it. However if you are one of the more experienced skydivers, chances are you will be looking for new thrills to give your skydiving experience a fresh twist. The good news is, you need not search far and wide for the best drop zone site for your next skydiving session.
Drop Zone Name: Skydive Santa Barbara
Courses Offered: Tandem and Accelerated Freefall
Facilities: Gear Rentals, Gear Sales, Rigging Services, Covered packing Area, Video Rooms and Coaches
Aircraft: Cessna 206 & Caravan
Contact: http://www.skydivesantabarbara.com
A number of experienced skydivers would readily attest that aside from the accommodating staff, what makes Skydive Santa Barbara one of the top drop zones is that fact that the place offers a magnificent view of the ocean, clear skies and vast rolling hills. However, the site is actually located in Lompoc, which is a 45-minute ride from the Santa Barbara capital. To be able to fully enjoy the view from the top, make sure that you have scheduled your dive on a fog free day. Lompoc has earned quite a reputation for flower farming. This means it can give you a colorful view a thousand feet from the air.
Aside from the outstanding views, the town itself is a treasure to behold. There are a number of quaint shops that you can check out where you can buy some really impressive murals and paintings. There are also other activities you can check out such as long treks and visit to the famous beaches where you can actually get to see the famous snowy plover, an endangered specie of bird.
